보도되는 안중근의 목소리와 식민지배 담론의 분열 ─ 신문연재소설로서의 나쓰메 소세키(夏目漱石) 문(門)』 ─
본고는 나쓰메 소세키의 장편소설 『문(門)』을 신문연재소설로서 다시 읽는다. 1990년대 이후 탈식민지비평이 소세키 연구에 도입되면서 이 소설에 안중근에 의한 이토 히로부미 사살사건이 언급되어 있다는 점은 크게 주목받았다. 특히 “왜 살해당 했을까요?”라는 등장인물 오요네의 질문을 신문연재소설의 형태로 읽는 독자는 불 과 몇 달 전에 같은 지면에 대대적으로 보도되었던 이토 히로부미 사살사건을 떠올 리지 않을 수 없다. 요컨대 신문연재소설로서의 『문』은 같은 신문지면의 보도기사를 매일같이 읽으면서 축적되어 왔을 독자의 기억을 컨텍스트로서 상기시켜 의미를 생 성시키고 있다. 본고는 선행연구의 이러한 문맥에 의거하면서도 『문』이 연재되기 불과 1개월 전에 안중근의 공판이 전신속보를 통해 신문에 게재되었다는 기존의 연구 가 놓치고 있는 문제에 주목하여 국민공동체의 일원으로서의 신문연재소설 독자의 주체적 분열에 대해서 고찰한다. 그리고 한국의 식민지화를 가속화 한 제3차 한일협 약이라는 역사적 계기가 소설 속의 도시 공간을 형상화하고 있다는 새로운 관점을 제시함으로써 이 소설 내부의 시간이 이토 히로부미 사살사건을 통해 역사화되고 있다는 점을 밝힌다. 나아가 만주로부터의 야스이의 귀환이 단순히 일상을 위협하고 있을 뿐만 아니라 주인공 소스케의 기억을 되살리는 계기가 되고 있다고 지적한다. 오요네는 소설의 설정과 지문의 기술로부터 배제된 인물이지만 주인공의 기억 재생 에 핵심적인 역할을 한다. 이 소설은 식민지배 담론의 효과에 의해 소거되는 안중근 의 목소리와 가부장적 남성사회를 재현하는 소설의 설정과 지문의 기술로부터 배제 되는 오요네의 목소리를 공진시키면서 제국주의적 국민공동체의 일원인 신문연재소 설 독자의 주체를 분열시키고 있다.

Ahn Jung-geun's Voice and Colonialism Discourse Reported in Tokyoashhisimbun : Rereading Natsume Soseki's Mon as a Serial Novel in Newspaper
The current paper reviews Natsume Soseki's novel Mon as a novel serialized in newspapers. Although Mon has been commonly interpreted as a story of ideal conjugal love, as post-colonial criticism was introduced into Soseki’s research after the 1990s, it was noted that this novel mentions the assassination of Ito Hirobumi by Ahn Jung-geun. In particular, Oyone's question, “Why was he murdered?” received a lot of attention as it reminded the readers of this novel about the report of the murder of Ito which came out in the same newspaper. The current paper examined the subjective division of readers of serialized novels as a member of the national community, paying attention to the issue that Ahn Jung-geun's trial was published in the newspaper through telegraph news just one month before the serialization of Mon. The present paper also points out that the historical moment of the 3rd Korea-Japan Convention, which accelerated the colonization of Korea, has shaped the urban space in the novel. Furthermore, this paper points out that Yasui's return from Manchuria not only threatened the daily life but also revived the protagonist's memory. Oyone is a character excluded from the novel's setting and narrative, but he played a key role in regenerating the protagonist's memory. This novel resonated with Ahn Jung-geun's voice, which was erased by the effect of colonialism discourse, and Oyone's voice, which is excluded from the setting and narrative of the novel that reproduced the patriarchal male society. Through this, it divided the reader of newspaper serial novels as a member of the national community.
